Tiffany and Stephen Oakes' St. Augustine 'Nuptials

The Perfect Chemistry

Tiffany and Stephen Oakes

The gray clouds that hovered for 48 hours over the glooming fall streets of St. Augustine parted ways for these two just hours before they tied the knot. Just in time to shower them with the warm glow of a Floridian Sunset as they walked their last walks as separate entities.

(I'm fighting tears just reminiscing how truly beautiful it was)

I had the pleasure of roaming the misty streets in preparation for the big event... in and out of our bride's room... pulling her outside here and there for a mimosa and a chat... loving on her and the excitement of becoming a wife in just a matter of hours.

Tiffany, as all of my brides are, was a very special one to me. Before her life began states away, I knew her personally here in the sunny state for years before, and we shared very trying times of our lives together. Although it seemed we hadn't spoken in centuries, the day she reached out to me sparked a familiarity I had never expected, and rekindled a friendship that changed me forever.

Before she met her prince, Stephen, Tiffany walked the path of a single mother... consistently challenged with life-altering events that she seemed to hurdle over with such grace. The woman has FAITH, y'all. Undying, uncompromising, unconditional FAITH. Faith in herself, faith in The Father, faith in her daughter, faith in the plan. Her patience and perseverance was undoubtedly what helped pushed the current that carried her straight into Stephen's heart.

Stephen, being the scientist he is, had no trouble concocting a mixture of love, life, and laughter that provided Tiffany and her baby girl just want they needed for the rest of their happy days.

Here are some highlights of the celebration of that "perfect chemistry."

Her Homogeneous Compounds:

Tiffany's most important sidekick-Her daughter Mackenzie. I colored and giggled with this little cupcake for a spell while the girls were getting ready. She was an absolute joy to have around... so well behaved... and I was in awe of the connection she shared with her mommy. They was like peas-n-carrots.

The girls were calm, cool, and collected for Tiff... what every bride needs. Supportive, sweet, silent when need be, and so attentive to their duties. Their laughs were contagious, and I had quite a few with them!

His Homogeneous Compounds:

This little guy said NOT A WORD, but rocked his walk the whole way through. One of the best little ring bearers in all of Worth Wiles history. ATTA BOY!

These guys had jokes for DAYS. Kept a smile on my face from rehearsal to reception. Such intelligent boys, with manners that most men should take notes from! They meshed with the groom so well, it was quite clear why they were chosen to stand tall for him. Loved 'em dearly.

Let me just say... I gained a family on this night. Some of the most genuine individuals I've ever had the pleasure of belting out Whitney Houston and dancing out a conga line with. One of the best, most memorable nights of my life...

...AS THEY ALL ARE! Am I blessed to be doing what I love, or WHAT?!

Congratulations, you two. Come back to The Oldest City soon so that we may have a recap!

LOVE YOU!
